Woot! We are super excited you are interested in participating in our festival! A few things please, then read way, way below for what you need to know. First, April 2nd will be our last day to sign up any vendors. Second, as of today, March 22, 2024 we will only accept Venmo or Paypal payments as specified below. No more checks, please. Third, as of March 1st, 2024, we were sold out of our main parking lot location, however have approximately 10 out of 23 spaces available directly across the street in a private parking area. There is a cross-walk leading directly to it, and you can see and be seen by all those attending the festival. For those that apply from March 1st, 2024, this is where you will be located. We will also have signage and maps pointing to this area on grounds and at the Festival Welcome Tent so that patrons will be repeatedly reminded of your presence. Please take this in consideration when applying.

ABOUT THE 2024 CONYERS BOOK FESTIVAL!

The 2024 Conyers Book Festival is the second annual book festival presented by the Olde Town Merchants, LTD, an association of merchants with stores and businesses in and around historic Olde Town Conyers, Georgia. The festival will be held April 20, 2024, on the grounds of The Book Cellar at 951 Rail Road Street and the Elm Street Parking lot in Olde Town Conyers between the hours of 11:am and 6:30pm. The premises will hold approximately 70-95 tent spaces for book vendors, authors, literary businesses, and merchants, along with food trucks. Author talks and book signings will take place inside The Book Cellar as well. There will be book prize drawings, and themed activities for all ages, and local businesses will be encouraged to participate by hosting their own literary events the week of the festival.

We plan to promote this event via Instagram, Facebook, and Eventbrite, in partnership with the City of Conyers, The Olde Town Merchants, the Conyers-Rockdale Chamber of Commerce, Rockdale County, Rockdale County Public Schools, About Marketing, flyers, e-mails, text, word of mouth, and of course with your help! Please down load our posters and logo and feel free to use in your advertising.

Please pay attention to our Vendor Application cut-off dates and rate ladders.

 NOTE, if you were a vendor at last years festival and do not plan on changing your vendor category, you do NOT have to fill out this application, however you DO have to observe the cut-off dates and rate ladders. *THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:
*          DATE: Saturday, April 20, 2024 11 am-6:30 pm (Set up begins no earlier than 8:30 am);
This event is Rain, Cold, or Shine, and No Refunds Will Be Given;

  • This event is a JURIED event, as applications will be reviewed before accepted;
  • This event is a family event: No explicit book covers;
  • Once your Vendor Application is accepted and your booth fee is paid, all vendors have their bio listed on our 2024 Conyers Book Festival Vendor List, with your business logo or book cover next to your listing and a link to your business website (250 word limit);
  • Listing fees are non-refundable;
  • SPACES ARE FIRST COME, FIRST ACCEPTED BASIS. Please note, spaces are available on a first-come-basis, and there are only approximately 75-90 available;
  • NO EQUIPMENT PROVIDED: You must bring your own tents, tent weights, tables, and chairs as your reservation is for use of the space only. No equipment will be provided, AND THERE IS NO ELECTRICITY SOURCE;
  • PROOF OF PRODUCT REQUIRED: Any submissions that do not include photos of example products, pictures of book covers. or a valid website, Amazon, or Instagram link will NOT be considered;
  • APPLICATION FEE IS REFUNDABLE IF NOT ACCEPTED;
  • DAY OF EVENT INSTRUCTIONS: THIS IS A RAIN, COLD, OR SHINE EVENT.This event is in April and temperatures may be chilly or it may be rainy.  PLEASE wear warm and proper attire and bring ponchos and rain jackets. Also bring tent weights in case of wind gusts.
  • You will receive your space assignment in your participation packet the day of the festival at the Welcome Tent. This is a change from last year, as then we had some squaters on the festival’s outer edge.
  • Check-in will begin at 8:30 am and will be no later than 10:00 am.  Check-in will take place at the “Welcome” tent, demarcated by a large banner saying, “Welcome to the Conyers Book Festival.” A festival volunteer wearing a volunteer lanyard will direct you to your space, and provide you with a participation packet;
  • Each space will be marked by a bright colored sports cone with the space number written on it. Please pick up the cone and retain it. A volunteer will come by with a checklist to retrieve it.
  • Take down must be finished by 7pm so that The Book Cellar and Elm Street Parking lots are available for weekend traffic.
  • All vendors will be required to stay for the entire duration of the festival: NO EARLY BREAKDOWN
  • All vendors agree to remain “Family Friendly” in their presentations and interactions with our guests, event staff, festival volunteers, and coordinators;
  • Please plan to bring or purchase your lunch, or patronize one of our other vendors or one of the many local restaurants within walking distance.
  • There is a parking lot directy across Elm Street where you can park during set-up, but then you must move your car to another lot as we are keeping that lot open for festival attendees and Olde Town’s other patrons. We will go over alternative parking at the zoom meeting.
