DEAR 2023 FESTIVAL VENDORS: Thank you for helping us make this festival achievable. We have 55+ authors, 10 merchant tents, 4 food trucks, a candy shop, a bouncy house, and a patio bar! Pray for good weather and come prepared to have fun!

ABOUT THE CONYERS BOOK FESTIVAL!
The Conyers Book Festival 2023 is the first annual book festival presented by the Olde Town Merchants, LTD, an association of merchants with stores and businesses in and around historic Olde Town Conyers, Georgia. The festival will be held April 22, 2023, on the grounds of The Book Cellar at 951 Rail Road Street and the Elm Street Parking lot in Olde Town Conyers between the hours of 10:am and 5:pm. The premises will hold approximately 50-60 tent spaces for book vendors, authors, literary businesses, and merchants, along with food trucks. Author talks and book signings will take place inside The Book Cellar as well. There will be book prize drawings, and themed activities for all ages, and local businesses will be encouraged to participate by hosting their own literary events the week of the festival.
We plan to promote this event via Instagram, Facebook and Eventbrite, in partnership with the City of Conyers, The Olde Town Merchants, the Conyers-Rockdale Chamber of Commerce, Rockdale County, Rockdale County Public Schools, About Marketing, flyers, e-mails, text, word of mouth, and of course with your help! Please down load our posters and logo and feel free to use in your advertising.

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:
* DATE: Saturday, April 22, 2023 10 am-5 pm (Set up begins as early as 8:00 am);
This event is Rain, Cold, or Shine.;
- This event is a JURIED event, as applications will be reviewed before accepted* ;
- This event is a family event: No explicit book covers;
- Once your Vendor Application is accepted and your booth fee is paid, all vendors have their bio listed on our 2023 Conyers Book Festival Vendor List, with your business logo or book cover next to your listing and a link to your business website (250 word limit). More information is on the Application;
- Listing fees are non-refundable with all proceeds going to The Olde Town Merchants;
- We have a selection committee for exhibitors and require that you fill out the Conyers Book Festival Vendor Application (see below if this is an email or email [email protected]) and by submitting photos of your work or products if requested. The selection committee will review all applications to insure that we have authors from a variety of genres represented balanced with vendors featuring book related projects.
SPACES ARE FIRST COME, FIRST ACCEPTED BASIS. Please note, spaces are available on a first-come-basis, and there are only approximately 40-60 available.
NO EQUIPMENT PROVIDED: You must bring your own tents, tables, and chairs as your reservation is for use of the space only. No equipment will be provided, AND THERE IS NO ELECTRICITY SOURCE.
PROOF OF PRODUCT REQUIRED: Any submissions that do not include photos of example products, pictures of book covers. or a valid website, Amazon, or Instagram link will NOT be considered.
APPLICATION FEE ISREFUNDABLE IF NOT ACCEPTED:
Once you are accepted, your admission fee is considered a non-refundable donation to Olde Town Merchants, LTD.
DAY OF EVENT INSTRUCTIONS: THIS IS A RAIN, COLD, OR SHINE EVENT
* You will receive your space assignment a week before the event. Please email email@example.com if you do not receive this email by Friday, April 14th, 2023.
*PARKING FOR VENDORS IS THE PARKING LOT NEXT TO THE RAILROAD TRACKS ON RAILROAD STREET BEHING THE WELCOME CENTER. Take Center Street to Railroad Street. Other parking is in Courthouse lot at corner of Mainstreet and Milstead or off Bank Street. . PLEASE RESERVE THE PARKING LOT DIRECTLY ACROSS FROM THE FESTIVAL VENUE FOR FESTIVAL PATRONS.
*Check-in will begin at 8:00 am and will be no later than 9:00am. Check-in will take place at the “Welcome” tent, demarcated by a large banner saying, “Welcome to the Conyers Book Festival.”. The coordinator will direct you to your space, and provide you with a participation packet.
*Set up as early as 8:00 am, please be prepared for guests at 9:45 am- earlier set up may be available upon request for special circumstances only.
*Take down must be finished by 6pm so that The Book Cellar and Elm Street Parking lots are available for weekend traffic.
*All vendors will be required to stay for the entire duration of the festival: NO EARLY BREAKDOWN
*All vendors agree to remain “Family Friendly” in their presentations and interactions with our guests, event staff, festival volunteers, and coordinators.
*Please plan to bring or purchase your lunch, or patronize one of our other vendors or one of the many local restaurants within walking distance.
*This event is in April and temperatures may be chilly or it may be rainy. PLEASE wear warm and proper attire and bring ponchos and rain jackets.
******* Old Town Merchants, LTD, its members and associates, and Conyers Book Festival volunteers assume no liability if anyone (vendors/guests/attendees) is reported to have contracted Covid-19 from this event.******
